What is Moab Utah weather like?

Moab is located in southeastern Utah’s arid high desert. An arid desert has three main characteristics: very low precipitation, high evaporation rates and wide temperature swings both daily and seasonally.

Because of the wide swings daily and seasonally the temperatures can be quite different day by day, week by week and month by month. Regardless of what the Moab Utah weather is visitors come to Moab all year long.

Spring
March is when things start warming up and the days start feeling warmer but the nights are still quite cold. April and May the temperatures warm up even more and the days are very pleasant and the nights are slightly cold.

Summer
June, July and August are the hottest months of the year. The days are very hot and very dry. Temperatures are more pleasant in the morning and evening. The nighttime low can be slightly cool.

Fall
September and October start to cool off and are very similar to April and May where the daytime temperatures are very pleasant and the nights are slightly cold.

Winter
November through February are the coldest months and there might be an occasional snowstorm. The nights are very cold during this time.
